JaMi’s Country Living (aka JaMi's Garden Center) is a garden center and landscaping design company. It is located at the end of a country road a couple miles outside of the small town of Crystal Falls, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We are so blessed to work in a place of such beauty. The garden center is loaded with annuals in the spring and perennials, shrubs, trees, and all kinds of garden decorations throughout the year. We have our Fall Festivals every Saturday in the month of October. After that its time to think of wreaths, kissing balls, and boughs to ship and sell for the Christmas holidays. No matter what we are doing though, the best part of our days is spending time enjoying the scenery and sharing it with our customers, our friends and family.

JaMi’s Country Living was incorporated in the year 2000 but the story starts long before that.

My husband and I, Jan and Mike – hence JaMi’s – knew that we were destined for “country living” from the moment we met. I grew up on this farm (where the Garden Center now stands) and he spent his summers at his uncle’s farm in Wisconsin. We bought the homestead from my parents, John and Ruth Kudwa. They worked hard to clear this land with hand and horse. They know more about country living than we will ever know. They learned it the hard way.

But it’s the beauty that they created that brought us back to the U.P. of Michigan.

The picture to the right is my Mom, Ruth Kudwa, at age 80, used to spend every day at the Garden Center before she passed away.
